"We are what we eat"

 - Ludwig Feuerbach -

But What should we eat?

The famous quote by Ludwig Feuerbach "We are what we eat" means that it is important to eat good food in order to be healthy and fit. But did you know that each of our bodies have a unique set of microbiomes and that unique set can react differently to foods that we think are good for us.

Vinome does DNA and microbiome testing and provides results on the overall health of your body, gut, heart and provides a lists of foods that are our superfoods and which foods to avoid.

When I tried the testing myself I was surprised to realize that I should avoid egg whites. I had been eating a egg sandwich primarily everyday. I also discovered that Avocados where one of my superfoods. When I made the switch to having avocado toast in the morning instead of eggs. I noticed a difference within 10 days, and when I had my annual check up with my doctor my Cholesterol levels had gone down quite dramatically.

Your body is unique, Your diet should be, too.

Nootropics

What are Nootropics?

Nootropics, often referred to as "smart drugs" or "cognitive enhancers," are a class of substances that are gaining prominence for their ability to enhance cognitive function, memory, creativity, and motivation in healthy individuals. Unlike traditional drugs, nootropics are generally considered safe and have a low risk of side effects.

These substances can include natural compounds, dietary supplements, or synthetic drugs, all of which are believed to positively impact brain function. Nootropics work through various mechanisms, such as increasing blood flow to the brain, promoting the growth of nerve cells, modulating neurotransmitter levels, or protecting brain cells from damage.

The different types

Nootropics come in many forms, including herbs, vitamins, minerals, amino acids, and other compounds. Some popular examples include caffeine, L-theanine, racetams, modafinil, and certain adaptogenic herbs like Rhodiola Rosea and Ashwagandha.
